I am probably the last person on earth who figured this out, but if you want to instantly hide all your files and icons on your Desktop in Windows 10, you can do that with 2 clicks!
Step 1 - Right click on your Desktop
The first step is simply to right click with your mouse on your Desktop. This will open up a contextual menu for you.
Step 2 - Open up the Views menu
The next thing you want to do is to navigate to the first menu option called "Views" and open that menu up.
Step 3 - Deselect "Show desktop icons"
Lastly, go all the way down and until you find "Show desktop icons" and click on it to uncheck it.
All your icons should be hidden now! To show all your icons, simply do the same thing but check "Show desktop icons"!
